Chesley Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 This has got to be one of the crudest attempts at deception perpetratedby an eBay seller. If only all the fakes were this easy to spot. http://cgi.ebay.com:80/Authentic-WWI-Germa...1QQcmdZViewItem
Brian Wolfe Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 The history text is worth more than the medal! Cheers Brian
paddywhack Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 what a half ar$ed attempt at an ek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chesley Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 Perhaps he simply doesn't know any better....Yes, I too thought that might be the case.So I sent an email to the fellow, pointing to the fact thatthe item wasn't "authentic" and that he should change hiswording to "copy". Just so he wouldn't end up selling thething to an even more naive buyer. His reply was a classic:"So don't bid on it, ***hole".I think he knows.
JBFloyd Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Three to choose from! But, the suckers eem to be holding back -- stunned by the history lesson!
David S Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Take a look at his/her other items, nothing military whatsoever . . . I am watching the skull box . . . kinda neat The feedback shows no military related salesIt's no doubt that he/she know it's junk, probably $15 was better than expectedI bet that it bends quite easily.Along with writing the selling text using the edges
