christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Here is the one of the oldest Orders in Peoples Republic of Bulgaria The Order of Peoples Labour or Order of Labour as it later was named. First out the box and dokument for the first issued Order Gold class, it is a cardboard box. I am not sure if this one is older than the Wooden boxes for this order but I bought the order in this box and it do look old. Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And here is the inside with the man awarded in the order itself. This 1st type was introduced in June 1945 I have been told that not more than 50! Orders was awarded of this early type but I have no proof of that, but they are quite rare! I am not sure this document is really for this order since the 2nd type came in 1950, but maybe they still used old stock into mid 50?s ? It is hard to say what doc belonged to what order after 50 years, a lot can have happened on the way Very Nice order although ! Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 The Order was awarded in 1957 , and here is the reverse with the text : Naroden Orden na Truda (Peoples Order of Labour) Christer Next classes will follow !
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And here is the "ordinarie" box for the old Order of Labour ( I think ) Does anyone know when theese wooden boxes started and stopped been awarded) This is the Box for a Gold class OPL Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And now the second class introduced in 1945 the Silver class Here in a old wooden box Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And the last of the 1st issue , the Bronce class. I know that this class was introduced later but I do not know when? 1948-49 maybe ? Also here is an old wooden box for a bronce class order. Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And now its time for some woman ! Well I don?t know what you expected but here is Mrs Donka Pomova, with a great necklace... She was awarded a Gold class Order of the 2nd type in 1969. Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And here is the order, observe the new type of suspension and the lost of the small wreath. I think this type was introduced in 1950 but that is just a qualified guess... Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And another young woman (well, Bulgaria was almost 1300 years by then so she is really young) Hmmm, well This is a Silver class of the 2nd type issued in 1971. Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 Almost forgot , here is the Order itself ! Just one class left now. Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And Finally a man awarded with aBronce class Order in 1971. I have learned that of all classes and types (there is a 3rd type of this Order issued in 1977) there was 206 569 pieces awarded , still a quite small number when you compare to Soviet Orders. And this was the most awarded in numbers of all in PRB ! Christer
christerd Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 And here is the Order to the Bulgarian James Bond on the post before. A Bronce class issued in 1971. I will take pics of my type III Orders and post them later, that is the type introduced in 1977 and with a compolete new apperence. Like Terminator I?ll be back Christer
