Hi - Lorenzo , pleased to see you are well and not letting work get-in the way of collecting..........

Actually, we have missed you - seems to have been very quiet !

Your lantern is /or, was - a railway signalling lamp and originally would have had green and red glass that could be turned for signalling. That does not mean that the military may have used it for signalling danger to convoys.

Haven't you found anything Police for our World Police sub-Forum ? Best wishes Mervyn

p.s. - how about a picture of your tank for our 'What do you drive ?' section on the Lounge ?

Thank you so very much for the reply we have been very busy here in Iraq, I have been trying to add pieces to my collection as they pop onto the web. Many of the pieces are selling at very high prices I can't wait until it finally settles down. I pay the prices as if the pieces will never be presented for sale again so I do my best to get them all, there is a very nice 3 Iraqi Manuals I want to get my hands on but I know that they will go for a very high price.

-I have picked up a few Iraqi Police Relics I will try to do my best to post them on the all Police section;)

-I am part of a Blues Platoon and we no longer use tanks in Iraq we ride around in the UH 60 Black Hawk helicopter

This is a stone that was loose from a stone made Iraqi Airforce Insignia. this piece was sitting on the ground next to the mural base which possible had a painting of Saddam Hussein on it. You can see in the images that the Mural portin of the display was taken off how I do not know, most murals of Saddam Hussein were ripped down by coalition forces and their vehicles.

This piece will remain in my collection for years to come.

Lorenzo - is it still an operational base ? Your picture on 642 - I think it's showing mouth to mouth rescusitation - but are we certain ??

The page on post 642 is a demonstration of how to carry a wounded soldier under fire. The manual was published I believe during the Iraq Iran war I am not sure.
