Luftwaffe Embroidered Observer & Parachutist Badges

Brought along to visit and to be Personally Epsonized by a local friend, who can not remember where or when he got these, and so we both beg indulgence and ask for your evaluations of items we are completely unknowledgable about.

I remember seeing very very THIN ones as a kid in the late 1960s, and very very thick padded ones. These fall in between, being thick but flat:

I wouldn't feel uncomfortable about these. They look perfectly OK to me. Some of these embroidered badges can look pretty ropey and be genuine. These conform to various criteria that suggest period manufacture.

These have slipped through some sort of memory gap, and not being able to place them in an exact vet bring back group like his other goodies caused some concern.
