The little hooks on the side arms to keep it snug I have never seen on one of these UGLY crosses before, but I agree that it's a perfectly good one.

Hi Roman,

Imo a wartime award example with the private additional of the zweihaken (imo a post-award, but not necessarily post-war, alteration). I have only seen zweihaken on a Godet marked FA1X before, but the hooks on your example look very neatly done and I like them a lot. Great variant!

And look at that hinge. It's small, snug to the badge and tight. That's quality! A very nice piece that was obviously made for a gentleman that was very proud to have the award.

it's hard to tell from the pic, but is the center of the reverse "dished"? i have one like yours (without hooks) and there is a depression

behind where the FA on obverse is.
