Roman Slivin Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 What your opinion?I think it a good cross, but it is little bit strange.Regards,Roman
seeheld Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Hi roman, you Oldenburg KVK 1. class is a private one and not the official one.I like it very much!regardsSeeheld
Guest Rick Research Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 The little hooks on the side arms to keep it snug I have never seen on one of these UGLY crosses before, but I agree that it's a perfectly good one.
Mike K Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Hi Roman,Imo a wartime award example with the private additional of the zweihaken (imo a post-award, but not necessarily post-war, alteration). I have only seen zweihaken on a Godet marked FA1X before, but the hooks on your example look very neatly done and I like them a lot. Great variant!RegardsMike
Claudius Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 And look at that hinge. It's small, snug to the badge and tight. That's quality! A very nice piece that was obviously made for a gentleman that was very proud to have the award.
Eric Stahlhut Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 hi roman, nice cross! it's hard to tell from the pic, but is the center of the reverse "dished"? i have one like yours (without hooks) and there is a depressionbehind where the FA on obverse is.
Motorhead Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Here's mine-unfortunately the catch was repaired.......There's also an EK1 with this kind of attachment!Micha
