joe campbell Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 i have never seen this style of hinge orhook on the reverse, EVER, and don't much care for the cuts at the center where the arms join (also reverse).too many questions. i'd save my money.joe
VtwinVince Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Joe's right, that is an odd pin arrangement, and maybe it's just the photo, but I don't like the details of the frame.
Mike K Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Joe's right, that is an odd pin arrangement, and maybe it's just the photo, but I don't like the details of the frame.I have this style of hinge/hingeplate and catch/catchplate on 3 or 4 EK1s - all are screwback to pinback conversions. The pin on this example seems a bit thicker than on the examples I have. Gut feeling is that it has had it's hardware professionally replaced.Personally I have no real issues with the cross and if it came my way at a decent price I'd buy it.RegardsMike
Guest Rick Research Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Even though it appears to have been raised from a shipwreck, with rust rot so far gone that has to be new paint over the ghastly corroded finish? :speechless1:
hipnos Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 It was on auction somewhere?Yes, In eCrap...Miguel
