    that's a very interesting proof mark! are you sure it isn't a V with a line under it?

    may i see a closer pic of the mark from a different angle?

    if i recall correctly we did an interesting thread on another forum about 5 or 6 years ago pertaining to these marks on the underside of EK1 pins. one can encounter symbols, numbers, and letters. i don't know if a common concensus was ever reached concerning the significance of these markings.

    Hi,Good afternoon,Bill! Please show you my part of collections "WW1 Ek".

    Eiserneskreuz of the lower right of the photograph is written as "A" behind a pin.  

    Similarly I see 800 carved seals. I love such a sculpture. It is a German special sculpture.
