pinpon590 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Hello gentlemens !What do you think about this EK2, found on an attic...Thank you !
Danny70 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Hello pinpon,It looks like a good one to me, although the flash in the photographs makes it look a little strange. It shares the same features and details as my one, and a good clear stamping. (This maker Beck, Hassinger & Co., Stra?burg used different stampings on the rings, some of which casuse problems with identification, but with this one there is no doubt.)Was it badly stored as the core looks to have some rusting under the paint?Regards - DannyHere's mine for comparison:
pinpon590 Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Hello !Thank you very much for your answer !I don't know where was the cross stored... I have found it on a flea market, the sellers as only this one (and no other militaria)...Best regards !
WEISNER Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Pinpon, That is a very nice cross! The ravages of time have given it a great look!Danny's cross is a great example of a well cared for cross with minor paint loss in a few areas.Now... If you told us you bought this beauty for $20.00 US then you may have well been given this! It is a great find! Kevin
