I was wondering if anyone knew when this dog tag was used? I was told it could be front the 1870/71 and also if possible a approx value. I hate to ask that but I have to shoot someone a price and I have no idea. Thanks, Mike

Landwehr Infantry Regiment 125 from W?rttemberg-- so the cord in the state's colors.

It's from the World War. Model 1914.

Since catalogs have become extinct, I no longer have anyt clue what anything is "worth" any more.

Ah... why not start at the top with a regimental commander?

Max Hoffmeister died 18 February 1919 in Rastatt, Baden

    Secondelieutenant 14.8.85

    Premierleutnant

    Hauptmann 10.9.98 J8i

went from Inf Rgt 69 to Baden Inf Rgt 111

    Major 16.11.10 E

    Oberstleutnant 24.7.15 G

Oberst either 18.4. or 18.5.18-- don't know since he'd quit the army before 010119.

Red Eagle 4, XXV, 1897, and WF3a before the war. NEVER got ANYTHING from Baden.

Ended the war--or at least his service in the war-- as Commander of Reserve Infantry Regiment 71.

Nothing on him in our awards rolls so far.
