Brian R Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Here is a five piece bar to a Saxon Officer located safely behind the lines (probably back in Saxony). I'm guessing the Silver Merit Cross w/o Swords was awarded before the war and the War Merit Cross came in the war years. Perhaps a simple officer who needed to be awarded for something during the war and the War Merit Cross "worked".Please share your opinions. Thanks, as always,Brian
Guest Rick Research Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 :Cat-Scratch: I'd say that he was a long serving NCO in some sort of administrative position. Terrific noncombatant's bar. :jumping:
Brian R Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 I'd say that he was a long serving NCO in some sort of administrative position. Terrific noncombatant's bar. An NCO, of course. For some reason I was thinking officer because of the LS Cross. He would have an Albert Order or higher if an officer.
VtwinVince Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 That's a really nice bar, I love the more obscure Saxon combos.
