Newest Stahlhelm buckle

Recommended Posts

Getting harder and harder to find buckles I don't have....though there are still MANY that need to find their way into my collection! Here's my newest....a trouser style Stahlhelm buckle. I've always liked these buckles that show the steel helmet....Happy to have added this one to the collection.

It's got a ding in the helmet and it's hard to see but there's a gold gilt to it. I like it! Here are some pics!

Cheers!

Thanks! WOW- great picture! You don't see too many of the Stahlhelm....I often try to find pics of the buckles I have in wear....I havent' had much luck. Looks like the box buckles in wear in your picture are ww1 issued buckles....I think anyways.

Thanks for the pic!

Good question Paul....I'm thinking no - but I can't say for sure. There aren't a whole lot of pics of this org.

The ones I've seen show a multitude of different uniform garb....but I don't know if that was to represent different units or not. Most of the pics I've seen as well, show the members with open claw buckles - I haven't seen many with these types of buckles in wear.....too bad....:(

Cheers buddy!
