Tom Y
Wrong ribbon, but it's this:a vanity piece from the Ehrenlegion, a vet's organization. The ol' Furg Dagerland :cheeky:
Kev in Deva
The ol' Furg Dagerland The direct translation of Ehrenlegion would be Legion of honour &Dagerland is Vaterland / Fatherland, I surmise? the addition of a sword and wreath attached to the ribbon would denote a combatantaward as opposed to a non-combatant award.Kevin in Deva. Edited July 1, 2009 by Kev in Deva
Guest Rick Research
While the little pin back has been peeled off, the signs of it having been there and the sharply ironed creases show that this ribbon was one of the 1938 long service awards-- Police, R.A.D., or civil service Treudienst. Those were issued that way.Worth salvaging as "spare part" for one of those without a ribbon at all.
