I want to share with you my "homemade" ribbon bar I bought a couple of years ago.

Lifesaving medal ribbon and the Kyfhauserbund Medal ribbon...

BTW, this is about the actual size of the bar. It is on some sort of padded bar! Based upon the fact that someone could not or would not afford a proffesional bar, not such a bad job!

Your livesavingmedal is more likely a Saxon Friedrich August medal.

But still a quite nice selfmade one from the recipient!!!

Hi Paul, I would agree with Daniel. The width and slightly blue tinge of the stripes suggest a FAM, not lifesaving medal.

Thank you for your input. I do not see any hint of blue in the ribbon... even under the backing material. Is it possible for all signs of the blue pigment to fade(even from the hidden areas)?
