Stogieman Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I will save the rest of this group for later, it's a very exciting one on a number of levels. But I thought that for now, you would enjoy observing and discussing his Orders Book. Given at the time of his receipt of a 9th September, First Class. Take a look at the orders and the award dates!!!
christerd Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Hi, he got a III class in 1945 which must have been the old breast type, and the first class in 1959. Seems normal I guess? Or am I missing something an early breast 1941-44 II class 1948 and one more and all this by 1959, he got got be a high ranking officer What did he end up as? Stogieman Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 Well, to me, this is exactly it. He received two screwback orders, very early on (these would have been on type 1 documents). But more importantly, in 1959, he receives the very first of the suspension 9th Septembers, NOT a neck order. This gives us a better time frame as to when this switch occurred. Also, note that in 1959 he receives one orders book with all four current awards entered. Again, this helps time-line when they started the practice of new award, new book. I don't know for sure when the practice started, but at least at this point in 1959, everyone still had one book.
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Kuzo Georgiev Denichin received his 9th September, Type 1, in 1956 as a full Colonel.
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 He received his People's Liberty, Second Class, Type 1 in 1948 as Colonel and Commander of regiment.
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 In 1952 he received his Partisan Star on the Type 1 document:
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Oh yeah.... almost forgot. In 1948 he received his Orders Book for his 1945 Soviet Red Star! (unfortunately, this is the one piece missing from the group.
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 He must have been a special soldier... in 1974, his town named him "Honored Citizen" and presented him this beautiful document and a key to the city. This award has only been given 50 times. the case/folder that holds the set is hand-tooled and sculpted leather.
Stogieman Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 There's a number of additional awards and documents I have not seen before, I will add them as time permits. Any ID help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Rick Here's the cover to an impressive folder that holds a four paged typed document that i have no clue about. Does the cover lend anything?

Theodor Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Hi Rick, the last one is some strange representative of the socialist economy system CONTRACT for consigning /giving/ a socialistic property object for management and... what will be the proper word, take care about something, care about it...

Stogieman Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Next unknown document & badge, still has the plastic issue packet!
Stogieman Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Last unknown, but I think a Trade Union?
Theodor Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 The unknown are: #13 National Committee for Bulgarian-Soviet Friendship. Honorary Diploma. For Honorary Golden Badge. #14 is from the Central Committee of the fighters against Fashism and Capitalism. Award document for the Honorary badge of the Committee 1923-1944. The document is specially made for awarding on the occasion of birthdays, anniversaries. But in the empty field is not written his age, his anniversary /50th... 60th... 70th.../, only is written that it is a Round anniversary. Don't know the English word, but the meaning is, it is not 52 years or 67 years, but 60 or 50 or 70. excuse my language skills The last one is from the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Professional Unions. He was awarded with the jubilee medal "80 years revolutionary professional union movement in Bulgaria".
Stogieman Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Thanks very much for your help Theodor, I really appreciate it!!
