EK 1914 Imperial gold IC ring

Hi all,

I'd posted this initially in the member ID and Pricing section. Hardy says he feels this one is a good period piece. Hoping by posting here I might find someone who has more info, may have seen the same or similar before or may be able to give at least a rough idea of value.

I hope posting it here is okay... I could have gone with general awards although it really doesn't fit there... it's not strictly militaria in the truest sense but it does indeed show the IC so hoping that makes it a good fit here.

looks like someone took a nice old signet ring and slapped a cheaply made enameled patriotic iron cross on it. whoever wore it was pretty rough on it. i like the design of the gold ring, though!

I imagine the rings were delivered blank and a jeweller could add whatever was ordered.

You need to see my wifes wedding band compared to mine to see how wear and tear can differ ;-)
