M Hunter Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Gents, This EK1 OK? The cross is magnetic and slightly vaulted. It is the reverse that puzzles me. I have never seen one like it. Is this an acceptable example? My thanks Matt
M Hunter Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) And the reverse. Is the screw fastener missing? Edited November 16, 2009 by M Hunter
Mike K Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Hi Matt, The cross appears genuine but the screwnut may be a replacement and it is missing a large diameter disc, as evidenced by the circular marks on the outer arms. Regards Mike
Chris Boonzaier Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I am guessing there should be 1)Cross 2)backplate 3)Screw with 2) now missing. Best Chris
M Hunter Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 My thanks to Mike and Chris for confirming my suspicions! Matt
charlie Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Hi Matt I think this is what is missing.Regards Charlie. My thanks to Mike and Chris for confirming my suspicions! Matt

Stogieman Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Not unusual at all to find a nice, worn EK1 missing the attachment(s). I agree the cross looks legit and someone has substituted the screw-nut... if it even actually turns down! Personally, for all the mint-boxed pieces I have had over the years it's the ones that look like this that really "speak".
