Have enjoyed your EK postcards as well!

Do you have any showing women or couples wearing EK Sweetheart or Patriotic pins ?

Tell the truth, bad man. It was the pose-- and the obvious punchlines, wasn't it?

NOT that he was a posthumous Max Joseph winner (20.12.20)...

Born 30 September 1881 Nürnberg, killed in action near Soissons 18 July 1918.

Posthumous Max Joseph "Ritter" for storming Nieuwe Kerke 13- 14 April 1918.

HEK3X earned, per that magnifioent work by the amazing Lundström & Krause ( :catjava: ) on 16 April 1915.

    Crown to BMV4X on 01.01.18.

He is actually shown in "Das Bayernbuch," which gives some indication of his esteem as an officer.

    You kidding!!!!

My underbidder must have known that... I did not!

Also on the back is a newspaper clipping announcing his death.

Well.... I am a happy boy!

Interesting - he appears to be wearing his EKII on top of the button hole "pig pile" - I'd have thought that a Bavarian would have given the preferential position to his MVO.
