Paul R Posted December 17, 2005 Author Share Posted December 17, 2005 Thank you. Luftwaffe was my quess as well. I find original photos of uniforms with mix-match insignia facinating! I remember seeing an SS tunic with a Heer eagle fixed to the sleeve. The funny thing is that if this uniform were for sale it would be difficult to sell! Mike H Posted December 17, 2005 Share Posted December 17, 2005 Paul,It's Luftwaffe.You can find period photos which feature Luftwaffe personnel wearing Army eagles. I think it was a question of getting their hands on tropical uniforms -- they needed them and used Army in lieu of Luftwaffe issue.Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
