Saxon Gold st henry medal bar

here is a high priced bar! I have my doubts about ??? I thought all real St henry medals were Gold or Bronze Gilt ?

I was told by seller its silver gilt, and second medal is that a good variation ???

Silver-gilt MSHMs are silver medals that have been gilded later. All issue pieces were either gold or bronze gilt. They have a very strong "prooflike" appearance with a distinct cameo contrast between the devices and the fields.

The S-C-G medal may just be a case of the jeweler replacing the suspension to make it easier to mount.

Beau is correct regarding the medal. If it's silver gilt it's not a legit gold medal.

The bar tries to suggest to be from China era, pre-WW1. Makes it even worse.

I do not even like the bar.
