Robin Lumsden Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 This is presently for sale in Germany. It is advertised as Braunschweiger.............but I think it is WEHRWOLF !!!
Robin Lumsden Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Another view................again........SACHSEN !! Edited November 3, 2010 by Robin Lumsden
Sergeant 08 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) I tried to find more informations about the flag top. Dardesheim is a very small town (not more than 1000 citizens today) in Sachsen-Anhalt. In the same region is Halle (the "Wehrwolf capital") located too. I think is nearly impossible that it has a relation to Braunschweig veterans organizations. Most of those organizations were located in towns and villages near Braunschweig. I searched for such a flag top in period photos. It was difficult, because it does not exist a lot of photos with flags and the photos are not very sharp. Most of the Wehrwolf flags have only an ordinary spear flag top! Edited November 4, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Another known flag top pattern! Notice, no oak leave etc. on the left and right side of the skull! Edited November 4, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Again I found a result in the photo, where I have already found the "Schwarze Brigade" cuff title in wear. There is a similar flag top. Notice some details like the left and ride side of the flag top or the cut out parts for example! It is the first time that I have seen such a flag top in a period photo. Sergeant 08 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) This photo is a real treasure for a Wehrwolf collector! Edited November 4, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Robin Lumsden Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Good work, Stefan! The pole top is definitely Wehrwolf, in my opinion. :jumping:
Robin Lumsden Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 In the same region is Halle (the "Wehrwolf capital")........ This photo was taken at Halle cemetary.............. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadtgottesacker

Sergeant 08 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) I have some song books, but who owns an original "Wehrheil" bicycle? Try to find a real Wehrheil Fahrrad!!!!! Edited November 5, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) I could park it in the garage next to my Wehrheil truck! Edited November 5, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Another item which I have never seen before. A "Vorläufiger Ausweis" (Wehrwolf membership id card). Strange item! Why? Look at the date! Datum des Eintritts: Ortsgruppe Mainz 06.07.1933! They still recruted new members in summer 1933!!!! Edited November 8, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Robin Lumsden Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 I have one of the standard membership books..........
Robin Lumsden Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 Just need a flag pole to complete the flag group..............
coldstream Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Just a thought regarding the skull patch in post 43. The three black hills or mountains look similar in shape to the old Slovakian representation of the three mountains on their coat of arms.

Sergeant 08 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Flag top was in the mail today! PS: Can you believe it? I'm collecting since more than 20 years, but I have never had a swastika armband until today. Now I needed one for the display with the "Schwarze Brigade" cuff title!
Robin Lumsden Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 .........a swastika armband..........for the display with the "Schwarze Brigade" cuff title! Here's another swastika with skull............armband as worn by a leader of the 1st SA Company, c. 1923.
Sergeant 08 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) Here's another swastika with skull............armband as worn by a leader of the 1st SA Company, c. 1923. If I had seen such an armband in the past, I'm sure that I had earlier bought a swastika armband! :D Edited November 12, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) The pole top is definitely Wehrwolf, in my opinion. I was in contact with the author of the book "Der Wehrwolf 1923-1933". We discussed some questions about the Wehrwolf theme and I showed the flag top to him. He thinks the same. A Wehrwolf flag top! Edited November 15, 2010 by Sergeant 08

I bought a few things from him some years ago...........some Wehrwolf postcards, meetings programmes and a nice 'Wehrwolf Marsch' music sheet with a huge totenkopf on the cover.

Yes, he is the expert! PS: He thinks the "Schwarze Brigade" in Sachsen existed only from March to July 1933. In his opinion the Brigade had not more than 268 members!
