Claudio Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 Re. #43 - I'd guess Boelcke based on Albert the Bear & Life Saving combo but am troubled by the lack of PlM... Yes, it was his tunic... now I remember; it was actually exhibited in the same closet...
Les Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Yes, it was his tunic... now I remember; it was actually exhibited in the same closet... Neal got it directly from a member of the Boelcke family a little over ten years ago. There was an understanding on both sides that the piece would not be resold or placed on the collector market and eventually donated with the rest of the O'Connor collection to a museum. Claudio, thanks for posting these photos of the collection.
RAO Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Claudio, it was Tilo (Komtur) and my pleasure to lead you through Berlin and Potsdam. Greetings Mike
Claudio Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 My dear Mike, The weekend in Berlin largely went beyond my highest expectations... I really enjoyed a lot Tilo's and your company! ...so much knowledge and dedication to the history of Prussia... what can I say; you are anytime my welcome guest in Stockholm! LG Claudio
VtwinVince Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Now that is a museum. You need sunglasses for all the enamel on display. I think the Boelcke family still has his original decorations.
