Stogieman Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 My latest group of Hungarian Badges, can you guys help ID them?
Stogieman Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 MHSZ, but nice older enamel in a newer style fitted case?
hunyadi Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 1) 10 years of voluntary service to the police forces. 2) Excelent Mason / Builder Badge - second type I believe. 3) Excelent Workers Militia Memeber 4) Excelent MHSZ member badge. I agree the badge looks older than the case - probably mixed up at one point 5) 5 year service badge in the Workers Militia 6) Excelent Youth Socialist Brigade this is the upgraded class from the standard type of badge. 7) Numbered Stahanoviszta badge - nice example for 300% labor increase...
Stogieman Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Thanks Charles, The Other Rick sends his best wishes. More new to follow soon!
Stogieman Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 New Szot Badge in paperboard case with impressed logo on lid. The box is very similar to a late Bulgarian Hero Star box in that the base piece is larger than the lid of the case.
Stogieman Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 The "Crush Your Neighbors Hopes & Aspirations To Dust Medal", cased
Gordon Craig Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 A little larger on that last set: Stogieman, This is the "Excellent worker of the Hand Crafted Co-Opperative". These "Excellent Worker" badges were usually awarded for exceeding the target amount for a specifiic period. Usually three or six months. Regards, Gordon
Stogieman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 10 Years of Liberation Parade Badge. One of my favorite pieces. Very heavy & high quality.
Stogieman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 A set of promotion stars in a presentation case:
Stogieman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Another early piece, Stalin Iron Works, 1951. Second Class Award. Case is pretty rough but I'm happy to have it!
Stogieman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Tarsadal Badge with case. Not sure what this was awarded for.
Stogieman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Local award medals for??? Very pretty pieces.
Gordon Craig Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Local award medals for??? Very pretty pieces. For good work for the county (Megy) of Vesprem. Regards, Gordon
cimbineus Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Yes, indeed, these medals are awards of Veszprem county, and their exact name is: "For Veszprem County". These medals had double function. First, they served as a county award for long service or outstanding work in the county's offices, and second, they could be awarded to inhabitants of the county for they voluntary work or donations. cimbineus
Gordon Craig Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 cimbineus, Thanks for the additional information on the county medals. I should have finished my post in a better manner. I've collected a number of these medals, and badges, awarded by different counties for the same purpose. Regards, Gordon
