If memory serves, the late war crosses were one piece and not marked for silver content. Having said that; there's a couple little oddities on your cross that look like die flaws i have not seen before, or they may just be knocks from wear. Is it possible to get a high density, flat-on image of the front and reverse of the cross? It should slide right off the bar it's mounted on ribbon and all.
