ColinRF
I am sculpting and painting a portrait bust as a gift for a friend of mine. His father was a significant historical character and a major player in the German resistance against Hitler. See here for his bio and autograph: http://gmic.co.uk/in...post__p__371434 I am doing a 1/6 scratch bust in Sculpey - firm. It will be painted in acrylics when complete. The sculpt is based on unpublished and rare photos of Heinz generously forwarded by my friend. The sculpting is almost done and I will complete the details such as medals, regalia, buttons, ear detail etc in Magic Sculpt or Duro epoxy putty as it takes and holds detail better than sculpey. I will update as I progress. The model is of Heinz while a Major in command of 4. Brandeburger. ColinRF
Very kind - thanks. Actually I ran into some problems getting the sculpey to set so I am hopeful that rsolves itself soon. I will post a photo of the final sculpt as well as the completed painted model. Colin

Spasm
How great is that - even she said it was very impressive. Blimey, a good comment from her indoors about militaria! Outstanding. Do you have any others that we can look at?
ColinRF
Thanks for the kind comments. I don't have a lot lese to show. I did post my 1/6 sculpted Marshal Ney when I first joined (http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/34294-murat-and-ney/page__view__findpost__p__322007) and the Romeo Dallaire bust I am currenty working on (http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/50565-major-general-romeo-dallaire-unamir-1994-15-scale-bust/page__view__findpost__p__463044). I will continue to post in progress shots of anything new I sculpt and paint. Colin
