JBFloyd Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Olive Greene, a graduate of Wellesley, taught at the Girl's Collegiate Institute at Izmir for 40 years. By 1955, she had retired and was studying at the Hartford Theological Seminary. In 1955, she wrote a book review of a book on Islam, which appears on the web in a Quaker newsletter "Inward Light".
Paul R Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 I found this... http://www.aci.k12.tr/Asp/Content.Asp?Cont...=0&MSO=2&IdO=15This website is for the school mentioned earlier! They still mention her today. She was their first principal!
Paul R Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 A photo of Ms Green from the website! She is standing to the viewer's right of the girl with the white hat in the back row.
Paul R Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Google is my favorite tool!!! (as well as this forum!!)I wrote to the public affairs rep of the school. I sent her a link of this thread. I requested information about Ms Greene. They named their administration building after her, so I am sure that they have a lot of info on her around.
