benten Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 To Wood; you have an impressive collection with very nice and rare tinnies , inclusive Frankenstein! To Robert , I think your tooth is OK, you have material enough for more Grandl Schmuck! Cheers,Benten
BURGERHAUS Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 One more for today. Potsdam Marz 21 1933 Marz 21 1934
benten Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 (edited) Robert,I like your ceramic tinnie of the NSV, National socialistische Volkswohlfahrt. On the second tinnie is the historical important Potsdammer Garnisonskirche depicted in the background , where the meeting was kept for the first time in 1933. Perhaps someone else knows more about the shaking hands and the two shields.Here...Greetings from Bramberg !!Yours is much older than mine.Cheers,Benten Edited December 19, 2006 by benten
benten Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I haven?t seen them before Robert, so I?m glad you post the tinnies. The first one?..works (?) exhibition in the industrial Ruhrgebiet ( region) on the highest level, Reichs exibition in D?sseldorf. Interesting to see they mentioned D?sseldorf as Schlageter Stadt as a rememberance to Leo Schlageter. The second tinnie . Gauburg Hohenwerfen is situated in nearby Salzburg, Austria. It became in 1938 the status GAU- burg of the region Salzburg. So the tinnie could be a inauguration tinnie on that date . The place became a NSDAP education centre . Here a picture I found . I think it's really an impressive castle.Benten
BURGERHAUS Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 (edited) Benten Nice art on your tinnie but there is no snow as of yet. Gefunde Frauen Durch Leibesubungen. Take Care Robert PS Any ideas about what this particular design was supposed to represent? Edited December 27, 2006 by BURGERHAUS
benten Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Benten Nice art on your tinnie but there is no snow as of yet. Gefunde Frauen Durch Leibesubungen. Take Care Robert PS Any ideas about what this particular design was supposed to represent?Robert, very nice design tinnie and ?Gesunde Frauen durch Leibes?bungen? ; Healthy Women through Gymnastics. ...... ...... in Gothic script. The design could be a wing with a swastika. Here a picture of a poster from the National Propaganda Week 7.-13. October 1934. The spontaneous way of the composition and behaviour...the picture could be one of a commercial nowadays.
BURGERHAUS Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 benten Do you know if the castle Hohenwerfen you show in the picture would be open to the public? I wonder about this because a gentlemen I work with lives a short drive from Salzburg. He lives here is the US now but still owns a home in Austria. Are castles such as these privately owned or municipal? I would give anything to spend the night in a place such as this. Anyway, another tinnie. VDA Tag des Deutchen sp.? Volkstums. Do you know what that letter is between the c and the t? Robert
BURGERHAUS Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) A most inconspicuous Haken Kreuz on this one. Even more so than your Christmas tinnie Benten. Robert Edited December 29, 2006 by BURGERHAUS
BURGERHAUS Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Benten I like the propaganda picture you show. Looking great after bearing 3 children!
BURGERHAUS Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Post 1,000 of this thread. Hoping the next millenium comes faster with more participation. An unknown plastic tinnie.
Scowen Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Do you know what that letter is between the c and the t? Robert Robert, That letter is an "s", deutschenCheersDon

The Gothic ?s? is a bit confusing, it looks like an ? f?, but it is an "s".Above on this tinnie I recognize the cornflower that you see on many VDA tinnies I found this link about Castle, Burg Hohenwerfen; http://www.ennstalerhof.com/en/burg-hohenwerfen.shtmlYou can have a good time there : Benten Edited December 30, 2006 by benten
Wood Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I've always been a bit wary of these enamels, but this one is OK. There is a slight chip to the enamel at the 12 o'clock position
