The guy seems to have been "Hofmann" (one F) living in Friedrich Strasse in München...

Unfortunately, if the Hofmann is correct, there are more than a few in the book...

if ONLY the shoulder straps had been readable!!!!!!!

And speaking about Bavarian Bravery medals Did anyone se that original box for a medal on German Ebay ?

sold for 546 Euro !! I knew that the medals are rare and suppose the boxes are really rare but still 546 E for a box ?

And I thought the MVK boxes was expensive :cheeky:

A couple more... From the date and company it is possible to narrow this down to Gold Medal winner Adalbert Thalammer from the 10th Comp. 8 Bav Inf. regt.

Very hard to find a box for a Bavarian Bravery Medal, I've only had a couple over all the years, Chris, outstanding photo!

He should be easy to find as the Munich residency files from 100 years ago are still around. I flipped through a few when I was there last Fall. Try the City Museuem or the army museum, as their research halls are fantastic.
