GODISHIGH Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 hello, i like this tunic but would like some opinions on it. i know that the pants may not be original to the tunic but i still like the tunic. this is another one im considering and i need some help with it. thanks john
Erik Krogh Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hi John, It's difficult to see much detail from the picture that you've posted. I don't much like the stand up collar - it is different from the standard KM collar which featured five rows of reinforcing stitching. The ends of the collar also appear sharp as opposed to the typical rounded edges. It would be great if you could get better photos to analyze. Best Regards, Erik
GODISHIGH Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 hello, i dont have anymore pictures of it. i can request more info and pictures from the dealer and post them thanks john
Paul R Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I look forward to seeing more images of this unusual tunic as well.
Paul R Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 The uniform is for sale at Relichunter.com http://www.relichunter.com/kmwhtadmin1.jpg I have never seen a high necked KM tunic before.
GODISHIGH Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 hello, he replied and here is what he said: No markings, these summers tunics almost always don't. They are made very simply with no lining. Collar is the type that would not have a zig-zag pattern and should not. Buttons appear to be marked FFL 1942 thanks john
collectibleantiques Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Hello John, This is an absolute period time piece with early style standup collar. Rare old style KM tunic but real. Best, Roland
Erik Krogh Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I just looked at this tunic at the SOS, and I believe it to be period. Best, Erik
Paul R Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Nice!!! Were there any cool LW Admin or Iraqi items there?
