    Hello gentlemen,

What is your opinion about these 25 oaks? Are sanserif pieces considered original? Thanks for your comments.

I think a lot of this style is usually found with a 9th bead fake and bogus reptition bar.

my understanding is that there were at least a dozen

different manufacturers of this piece, and lots of

variations to the 25 year oaks.

don't have any opinion other than there are so many

of them that if you are not comfy with it, i'd leave it alone...

I agree with Don on this one. The "Sans" oaks are commonly found on fake crosses

with fake repition bars. I have a hard time believing the only (real) piece being the oak leaves.

    i found him

in the Book Iron time off stephan previtera page 159

    on a 1870 prinzen EK

strangely the ones on page 97 and page 195 look also very similar

    yes and no ,,,,,,

basically its hard to say fore anyone

as the production off oak's went on and on ,,,right in to the late 1930's

I stick to a certain type if comes down to 1870/95 ,,,,1900 originality .

and a certain type made 1920/30

    so dos everybody else

everyone here ( and elsewhere ) has one or Moore certain type's they believe in ,,,,,,

but no direct and full data to what is fake,,,,,, or what is not .

only a big mix up off pictures in Books and opinions off experts and experienced collectors.

and sure a lot off observations as fake ek's are combined with original oaks , and the other way around who made it even worse .

fore this one ,,most don't like it ( its an ugly one after all )

but it is also seen in Book as original ...

that is WY sometimes the prices pay'd are way over general expectations ,,,,

    and sometimes not ...

    my advice

look to what is commonly excepted as original,,,,, to protect your investment .

    regards kay

I take it as it is - as a honest opinion. Thanks. I agree with you that oaks can´t be evaluated according to cross they are attached with. It can´t be fake only because it was seen on Ninth beads. I also saw it on good A-cores and nobody gave a damn word about it.

First thing is investment, second one is like/dislike. And I really like more serif pieces. This one was interesting for me only until it was very cheap. And finally it wasn´t.

    Regards.
