azyeoman Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 This is interesting and everyone should take note. It is on the reverse of a medal bar that was constructed post war by the infamous "Austrian Medal Bar Faker." The label looks good and would take a lot of extra effort to have made and I wonder if it is an unused original that was for a uniform and then applied to this made-up bar. So far on this thread, there is only one other medal bar label from Austria. It's interesting to note that the label was sewn on the fabric by a machine prior to the bar being made. All the other labels on this thread appear to have been attached by hand after the bar was assembled. Unifrom Durbeck Wien IX Berggase 31 Brown on White cloth stitched on all four sides.
