Paul R Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Dan, What an awesome example of a long service ORB. Very pristine example. Thank you for sharing it with us. Paul
Hauptmann Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) Thanks Paul! But it just got better! :jumping: Some additional info: Edited April 9, 2012 by Hauptmann
Hauptmann Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Gentlemen... meet Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Ivanovich Vinogradov:
Hauptmann Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 A bit later pic: The ONLY way this could have been any better was if the pic showed him wearing the ORB. That's still my ultimate goal... to get one back that shows the recipient wearing the award I have. But to say this is fantastic and I'm jumping for joy is an understatement. Many thanks to those who helped to make this happen... they know who they are and that they have my undying gratitude. Dan
Paul R Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Very nice scans you have there!! What are those documents that you posted? What information is on them?
Hauptmann Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Thanks Paul. I believe it's his Service Record. No translation. Would be very grateful if anyone could help out on them. I've no clue what they say at this point. If someone can help, I can provide larger pics if needed via email. Please PM and let me know. Thanks, Dan
