Can anyone identify his exact unit with this sword? There is no cypher in the shoulder board, but the photo is posibly from 1919

I dn't know the exact unit, but the emblem on the langet of his sword is the Garde Star.

Train would explain the pale color of the tunic piping.

Well, the collar and cuff "litzen" are the first thing that tell me that its a Garde unit. The Schwarzer-Adler-Orden star (the so-called "Garde star") on the hilt is the second.

Besides that, how are you figuring Garde-Train?
