Chris Boonzaier Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Does anyone have any idea what this lot is? I think 2 of what may be bavarian Sport Schutzen Bund? worth nothing. The one with wheels looks like the thing Craig Gottlieb rides around at shows... The bird is maybe a WHW thing?
Hauptmann Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The one on the upper left seems to be Bavarian. The one on the upper right is probably either Soviet, Bulgarian or other Warsaw Pact for Motor Transport Troops. Here's a shot of a set in a riker with shoulder patch. The one you have is for the collar tabs. http://www.angelfire.com/tx2/russianbear/displaysovietmotortran.html Dan

Thanks for the tip for top right... it looked a bit like a Segeway (?) roller.....
Hauptmann Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 No problem Chris... happy to help out. I definitely agree with you that the eagle looks American Indian. Dan
IrishGunner Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I agree with the bird being Native American in style. It is known as a "thunderbird". http://en.wikipedia....ird_(mythology) But I don't think this piece has any militaria connection. Close, but not quite. The 45th Infantry Division's (now the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Oklahoma National Guard) shoulder patch is similar though. It uses a thunderbird motif.
