max1337 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I joined up here because this thread is such a good reference. A quick question, can someone explain why sometimes I see Auspicious Clouds missing the center enamel piece? Cheers!
JapanX Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Hi Max, Welcome to GMIC!I joined up here because this thread is such a good reference. ... why sometimes I see Auspicious Clouds missing the center enamel piece? because this center enamel piece have one screw fixation. When cavalier wear his piece long enough this screw (due to constant vibrations) slowly, but surely start to unfasten... Usual story with Japanese orders that have screw construction (golden kites, breast stars of 1st and 2nd classes, etc...) Regards, Nick
