Tom Y Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Plagued by a dearth of horizontal surface, I decided to rearrange one of my cases to hang on the wall. This one's pretty well divided between the Wars of Unification and the Great War, with China as a wild card.
Tom Y Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 Now if I can just do something with this lot
David Gregory Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Now if I can just do something with this lot Tom,I'll do you a favour and make some space for it in my study. Just send it to me.Thanks in advance,David
Stogieman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Hi Tom, I like the upright display. Just make sure the backing material is "acid-free" !!

Guest Rick Research Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 How did you hang the medal bars up? Are they on little hooks in there or pinned into the backing?Living where you live, dunno as I'd want to have them pressing ON the glass if they are leaning forward enough to touch.

Then just drop the pin over the hooks & you're set. The trifolds have a piece of stainless going through the top loop. There's a good 1 1/2 in. space in front of them. I also keep a dehumidifier going in the War Room 24/7. Working on a way to mount singles now without damaging the ribbons. Got some ideas, and will post when I've succeeded.
Guest Rick Research Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Excellent!!! Now, what about Flotation Devices? (Ask me if I'm still laughing about that where I live, in a month or two )
Tom Y Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 Excellent!!! Now, what about Flotation Devices? (Ask me if I'm still laughing about that where I live, in a month or two )How long is a cubit?
Bob Hunter Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 A unit of ancient linear measure from the elbow to the tip of a man's longest finger. Generally accepted to be 18 inches. A long cubit is a handbreadth wider.
Blitz Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I like the case, It's just enough crowded to give out the right look. As for the other case, well.. ..You've obviously got your hands full!
