Stogieman
........ especially when that rose is rose-colored gold. These photos are courtesy of Uwe Bretzendorfer, Deutschland. You can find him here:http://www.bretzendorfer.com/us/us_us.htmlYes, I'm making an unsolicited pitch, but it's tough for guys over here to even get a chance to buy one of these so I thought I'd share one of the "sources"...... Great guy... I used to get mail-order lists from him pre-web days!!

Stogieman
Another important point..... the oakleaves attachment to this order are always in gold, both RK1 & RK2. Very few awarded and very hard to find!
medalnet
Another important point..... the oakleaves attachment to this order are always in gold, both RK1 & RK2. Very few awarded and very hard to find!...noy always, silver gilt exists as well. With those golden one we mainly see two types. The 3 leaf cluster and the one show above. Always has a little hohle hidding under the ribbon wire.

Stogieman
Well, I guess I'm just lucky...... I've never had a gilt one cross my palms. Only gold! Live & learn!
Deruelle
Hi Rick, Do you find one hallmark on the oak leaves ? Christophe
Stogieman
Hi Christophe, I have not seen a gold one with any maker/content marks. The ones I've had looked just like Herr Bretzendorfer's piece. No marks at all.

landsknechte
........ especially when that rose is rose-colored gold. These photos are courtesy of Uwe Bretzendorfer, Deutschland. I think this may be the first time that I've ever seen a medal photographed in "romantic" soft focus.
