dante Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 These can still be found relatively cheap on internet auction sites....they offer a wonderful source of information as well a photo.....I only have two, love to see yours..... First is Karl Krizenberger, Alpenkorps, 1st Jager Battalion, according to his records he was wounded at Verdun on the 9/June/1916
dante Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) Max Ruf, this is a nice one with original photo and medals (showing him wearing the medals) as well as how he won the awards, Max was another Verdun veteran serving in 1918 Edited October 11, 2013 by dante
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Both of those are very, very nice. Usually (but not always) these are for bavarian units or from other catholic parts of Germany... Its my "catholic connection" theory...
