Chris Boonzaier Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Hi, with the funny revolver and swordy thing... can anyone guess what he is??
Chris Boonzaier Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 The revolver looks like a holster to me. You kidding!! I never saw that ;-) I am guessing a bavarian Pionier with a reichsrevolver?
dond Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I figured that when you said "funny revolver" it meant you were drinking.....
spolei Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) Hello. that could be a "Faschinenmesser", a short bavarian artillery-sword M 1892 with lionshead. Edited November 25, 2013 by spolei
Hoss Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) M1879 Reichsrevolver short barrel 10.6mm. Ed, I don't believe the Germans had flare gun holsters first war just a pouch for the rounds the weapon would be clipped to their belt. Chris Isn't that a cavalry belt? heres a pic of a holster a chum sent me that was for sale. Eric Edited November 26, 2013 by Hoss
E Williams Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Both the brits and the germans had them. They were sometimes referred to as a signaling holster. Edited November 26, 2013 by E Williams
