    Long service awards for non-combatants?

    Recommended Posts

I'm a new collector at Imperial German, so your guess is probably better than mine :D the medal bar was constructed after 1916, if you check his pass photo you can see what it looked like prior to the addition of the EK and Baden War Merit Cross, not sure what the standard was at the time, but would be interested to hear some opinions on the matter :D I've always seen a blue ribbon on these.

The long service document should be in that group as well, if not I'll add it tomorrow :D

Long service awards for non combatants did not differ from those awarded to combatants. I have never seen a long service cross awarded on a white ribbon (the only white ribbons I know are of the Saxon Lifesaving awards and Olbergkreuz). Has anyone ever seen such a thing?

As redeagleorder pointed out, there are no special long service decorations for combattants or for non-combattants.

Long service awards were given out for long service to military personel. Most were awarded in peace time, so actually to "non-combatants", anyway.
