Chris Boonzaier Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 We have all seen the Ebay fakes of award boxes, Cutlery boxes rebuilt to hold medal bars and other period containers rebuilt to be EK displays etc. etc... But there were Period COMMERCIAL displays, Store bought.... something a soldier could have on the wall or mantlepiece, proudly displaying his iron cross... One of the nicest are the glass bell stands...
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Does anyone have any< others? Frames, sands etc...
saxcob Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 ...maybe not as posh as yours but still looked at as a family treasure: the box that his kids produced as a shrine to keep my great-grandfather's WWI awards, dedícated "to the brave warrior" ("Dem tapferen Krieger").
Brian Wolfe Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 A very attractive display mount Chris.RegardsBrian

Hi, very hard to compete with a family made item!!
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 p.s. when I say "period containers rebuilt to be EK displays etc. etc...!" I mean the items made by ebay sellers :-)
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Using the same button and backing as the dome.... Same patent as well....
gregM Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Nice, can you show the bottom? Mine is identical to the one you posted except that about 2/3 of the paper tag on mine is missing.
