P.F. Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) Gentlemen,I have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres 1944/45.While searching for a copy I came across one edition published in 1955 and another published in 1987. I am told the 1955 edition is about 100 pages longer. Can someone tell me the difference, if any, in the two publications? With thanksPierce Edited September 16, 2014 by P.F.
hucks216 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I can't say as I only have the Wolf Keilig version in its entirety that contains 408 Pages and only goes down to Major. However there is a version that goes down to the rank of Hauptmann which may well account for the extra pages but for that one I only have the Hauptmann listing and not the whole publication.
P.F. Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Thank you for your reply. It was most helpful. Kind regards Pierce

Good evening! I just read, you have the Wolf Keilig book. Could you help me? I am looking for anything / everything on Ritterkreuzträger Major Heinrich Wiese (b. 27 February 1910 in Kiel). He entered the Reichswehr on 1 April 1929. Maybe it would be possible to show what Keilig has on him (page scan), if anything? Thank you!

His personnel card file is available at Bundesarchiv/Invenio which will provide a lot more information. If you email them and ask for a copy (using the file number on the left) they might provide one after a month or two (or four): militaerarchiv@bundesarchiv.de Edited January 20 by hucks216

If you find the time, maybe you could explain, how you got into the Bundesarchiv system. I am registered at Invenio, and I found him, but his files are not digitalized, so I wasn't able to see anything. I would be grateful for any help.
hucks216 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Email them at the email address in my first reply and ask for the relevant file. 1

I wrote them on the same day, and today, 10 days later, they have sent everything ... and also promised to digitilize the files within four weeks! Many greetings, Andreas
