Chris Boonzaier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Hi, has anyone seen this before? Thanks Chris
The Prussian Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Brilliant photo, Chris! Chapeau! Do you know the unit? Brilliant photo, Chris! Chapeau! Do you know the unit?
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 Hi, it is not possible to identify the unit unfortunately :-(
Chip Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 The ribbon bar shows that this soldier is not a Prussian, based on the positioning of the Iron Cross ribbon. I'm not well versed enough in the identification of ribbons to say what the first ribbons might tell us. Chip

The Prussian Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi Robin! Is there something written oin the reverse? I haven´t seen a skullhead like this on the sleeve, but the collar Litzen remind me at the Füsilier-Regiment 80. That was the only regiment (until 1918), who wore those Litzen. After the war they were part of the Freikorps Hessen-Nassau Here is a photo of the Litzen.
Robin Lumsden Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Thanks! Nothing written on the reverse, unfortunately.
Chip Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 The collar insignia reminds me more of the later Sonderführer collar tabs. The shoulder cords should identify this as some sort of postwar official. Chip
Robin Lumsden Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Chip. I'm reliably informed that it's Weimar-era Forestry Service. I wonder why he has the sleeve TK ?? Needless to say, it all reminds me of this ........................
MG1918 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 id of sleeve badge man standing please? Mark id of sleeve badge man standing please? Mark
