KIR Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Hello, Pionier-Btl. Nr.30: Stab & 1. - 5. Kompanie bei der 4. Armee, die 6. Kompanie bei der 206. Infanterie-Division. Best regards, Jens
Chris Boonzaier Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 I seem to remember them being in the Argonne a lot?
ccj Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 Yes, I've read a memoir from a member and I think there were at the Marne in 1914 then to the Argone and then I think Verdun. Apparently the pioneers were abused greatly. sounds about right too. A unit used for any and everything the other units aren't.
