new world Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Wonderful collection! Considering there were around 1,700 of these awarded, you collection represents roughly 1% of them.

bbrandon Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Dear Gentlemen, Does anyone know this mintmark? Is it an 14k original or an labour hero replica? This mintmark is not shown in Grafs collection above and medals marked with this seem to appear more and more often? PS. What does it actually show? Looks like an UFO? XD
bbrandon Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Hi, Thanks for your reply. I was just whondering - I could google a few medals with this mintmark - and all of them seem to have been offered now or recently, which could just be coincidence too, of course.
Lubo Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Hi there, the one you are showing displays a medieval crown with A4 underneath it, it’s perfectly original and not too uncommon. A4 stands for 14K gold! This stamp was just about the only one transferred from the Royal awards into the communist one!
bbrandon Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 So its an A4 - I would have never guess - many Thanks for this valuable info!
Graf Posted September 3, 2022 Author Posted September 3, 2022 (edited) Hi bbrandon I support the above comments It is original 14 karat Gold They did not make any other Gold Grade The Replica are usually stamped as "R" Here is one from my collection I do not have the same ability as the Seller for close ups, however if you zoom the last picture you will see the A4 within the stamp Cheers Perhaps I have to update the site Also the box is from a later model See the pictures of the boxes as reference However I have seen those Stars in boxes that the do not match the period of the Stars Edited September 3, 2022 by Graf
bbrandon Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Hello, Thank you for all your replies! About the 1st model - does this model also exist with mint marks too or is it usually non-marked?
Graf Posted September 12, 2022 Author Posted September 12, 2022 I personally have not seen one marked. I suspect that those very first models were made in the Soviet Union, hence the border on the back as the USSR ones ( they re numbered in contrast with the Bulgarian ones)
