Here are some of the boxes for the Hero of Socialist Labour Stars

    - first picture- the left light red box is the 1st Model -it has only the 9.IX.1944,  the one on the right is next model

-second picture - most common boxes for the following models Stars

    - third picture two luxury boxes given to VIPs

Note the Big box could combined box for the Hero Star and the Order of Georgi Dimitrov,, which is given with the Star or in many cases  only for the Hero Star

    Hi Balkan Collector,

    Thank you for the comments

I like the Hero of Socialist Labour Star because it is very simple in design and yet has a very powerful presence

I will try to list couple of more Sets with different  type of Documents. in the near future

    Dear Gentlemen,

Does anyone know this mintmark? Is it an 14k original or an labour hero replica? This mintmark is not shown in Grafs collection above and medals marked with this seem to appear more and more often? PS. What does it actually show? Looks like an UFO? Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I was just whondering  - I could google a few medals with this mintmark - and all of them seem to have been offered now or recently, which could just be coincidence too, of course.

Hi there, the one you are showing displays a medieval crown with A4 underneath it, it’s perfectly original and not too uncommon. A4 stands for 14K gold! This stamp was just about the only one transferred from the Royal awards into the communist one!

    Hi bbrandon

    I support the above comments

It is original 14 karat Gold They did not make any other Gold Grade

The Replica are usually stamped as "R"

Here is one from my collection I do not have the same ability as the Seller for close ups, however if you zoom the last picture you will see the A4 within the stamp

    Cheers

Perhaps I have to update the site

Also the box is from a later model See the pictures of the boxes as reference However I have seen those Stars in  boxes that the do not match the period of the Stars

Hello, Thank you for all your replies!

About the 1st model - does this model also exist with mint marks too or is it usually non-marked?

I personally have not seen one marked. I suspect that those very first models were made in the Soviet Union, hence the border on the back as the USSR ones ( they re numbered in contrast with the Bulgarian ones)
