Deruelle Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Sorry Two pages for the badge and one copy of the diploma
Deruelle Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Nimmergut in his work vol. 4 has never given how many crosses were awarded. I don't know why ? Christophe
elbavaro Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Oh he does. Page 1871. He says 99 - like all others.
elbavaro Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 As far as I remember it was Larsen himself, who mentioned in 1935 that Maybe 120 were awarded. Later I read around 100 and it is stuck at 99.
Deruelle Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Very interesting information. I remember years ago, two differents badges were sold (by Thies if my memory is ok) and both badges were not the same. If someone has the photo in his archive, it will be nice to post them here. Christophe
elbavaro Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Both good ones. One was from Feldwebel Egger and one from Volckheim.
dond Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) Sepp Dietrich's badges were both sold at auction several years back. Edited April 25, 2020 by dond
Deruelle Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Thanks Don for posting photos. Does someone know little more about the design of the first badge of Dietrich .I thinks it's a unique one. Christophe
elbavaro Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 It is supposed that this one was made by a jeweller, because the Badge Looks like the one from the Award document.
