Tradition was something my father felt he was robbed of. My Grandfather was a patriotic man and so was my dad. Standards, traditions and rules were welcomed. Then next thing they are in Kenya in an internment camp.!! it may be interesting and I hope it is..,you are the first person to read this in some 20-30 years. A cutting I rediscovered at my mums a couple of years ago - I think it's from the sixties, posted to my Nan by relatives in Israel. I'm late to the internet and only googled hakoah 2 years ago! I thought it a Jewish word I'd never know. Turns out it was a sports club.... Maybe of some interest but no pressure! best wishes Bayern tony
Farkas Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Hi Gents my precious - found to my surprise at my mums just 2 years back. My Grandfather served with IR83. tony
Chris Boonzaier Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Without knowing diddly about Austrian Minis, there are certainly some eye catchers in among that lot!
spolei Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Hello, the single leaf-mini in the middle is a "Silbernes Lorbeerblatt" of the BRD. It will be given to high to german sportchampions.

I don't suppose you could tell me if this is from a particular period? Or were they widely issued over time? either way thanks again 20 hours ago, Chris Boonzaier said: Without knowing diddly about Austrian Minis, there are certainly some eye catchers in among that lot! Hi Chris, the more I browse members posts the more I accept how little I know. I never risk buying a 'real' pricey thing. Most expensive one above is the machine gunner cap badge for which I paid 8.50..... I often take a gamble with unknown badges because (to borrow your phrase) my eye is caught by one or two. Even if I recognise them it has to be on the cheap because of all the copies I do like to find job lots and go through them. i buy an awful lot of stuff like this (below cost 8quid).... because I spot a couple of pretties... tony Ps- diddly is a word sadly underused.... Squat however is still going strong!
