Completely off topic and really dating myself, but I cannot see the word 'gatefold' without thinking 'Playboy Playmate of the Month'.  

I suspect that makes me a sexist swine as well as just old. ;)

I think you comfortably slip into the "Dirty old man" category at your age.....

Postcards, and items that real people stand behind are the greatest thing that exist. I started collecting items related to my city, that saw both World War 1, World War 2, and more. Managed to decipher, and translate many of them.

One is from Landsturm Bataillon Schlettstadt [in French - Sélestat] which during the war was German, then French, untill World War 2.

Those are fine words Materia.

Words and personal items are my favourite too. I look after them on behalf of the people who should have them. Someone out there is returning the favour I hope. 

Its one of the reasons I enjoy posting on the GMIC. It preserves, and makes available, the memory of the people behind them.
