Alex . Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Hi gents, It is possible to tell what grade this order is? The size is 56 mm across. Is it Commander's Cross? Thanks Alex
BalkanCollector Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Officer's cross (4th class). The only difference between Officer's and Knight's cross (5th class) is that the Officer's cross has a rosette on the ribbon.
Aahauge Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 It's the socalled "Stalin" type. Dull gilt but still very gold-like in colour. It was produced from around 1953 by the National Mint in Warsaw. As stated above it's 4th Class. On 29/04/2019 at 19:07, BalkanCollector said: Officer's cross (4th class). Actually the 4th Class is around 55.6mm (depending on version) and the 5th Class is only 45mm. So besides the rosette there's also difference in size ? Best regards Aahauge

chechaco1 Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 The "Stalinist" type of this order was made under Stalin at the Krasnokamsk Mint, from gold, in the amount of 570 pieces. Everything else is Polish crafts, first the matte reverse and towards the end of the 1960s-shiny.
