Daniel Murphy Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Here is a piece I got many years ago and I thought you would enjoy seeing it. A nice 3 pc screwback. Apparently this may have been displayed at a VFW or American Legion hall. Dan Murphy
Daniel Murphy Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 Reverse. The only mark is the "half moon/ crown/ 800" on the upper arm.Dan Murphy
Stogieman Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Interesting maker mark. Have not seen this incused one before. But this combination of marks does show up occassionally on the EK1.

Glenn R Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 A lovely cross. The paper with it lends a great feeling of history to what is usually an anonymous award. Thanks for posting!
stevo4361 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 That's a beauty of a cross! Nice paperwork as well, pretty unique!Kind Regards,Steve
Valgor Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That's a beauty of a cross! Nice paperwork as well, pretty unique!Kind Regards,SteveI always hesitate to rake up an old thread, but hey...It proves someone is still reading htem! Now my question: I thought these discs and nuts were from the 1920-30-ies and not period.Am i wrong?
Motorhead Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I disagree-these screwback style could be also wartime(private purchased). Normally I'm very sceptical about markings like this.....but I would add it to my collecting without problems.Micha
