EK 1914 EK 1 Screwback with capture paper

Here is a piece I got many years ago and I thought you would enjoy seeing it. A nice 3 pc screwback. Apparently this may have been displayed at a VFW or American Legion hall.

Reverse. The only mark is the "half moon/ crown/ 800" on the upper arm.

Interesting maker mark. Have not seen this incused one before. But this combination of marks does show up occassionally on the EK1.

imagination!.

i have a '14 EK 2 with the crown/moon/800

maker mark incused. i'll see if i can't dig it out.

I always hesitate to rake up an old thread, but hey...

It proves someone is still reading htem!

Now my question: I thought these discs and nuts were from the 1920-30-ies and not period.

Am i wrong?

I disagree-these screwback style could be also wartime(private purchased). Normally I'm very sceptical about markings like this.....but I would add it to my collecting without problems.

that unique 'propeller' clasped ek1 that i am using as my avatar also has this incused crown-moon-800 mark. it is also stamped with a 'ges. gesch.' mark on the post
