I just aquired this cloth EK 1 from a gentleman in France, Francois whom I'm deeply grateful for his help in this purchase.

Controversial and not every ones cup of tea, for reasons of the money and lack of provenance for such like examples of a highly and more 'easily' faked icon from the last war.

Not a blind leap of faith purchase I made, but a decision based on the construction and materials which appeal to me more so than some examples perhaps in my judgement alone; asthetically it also appeals to me more than some encountered examples with the more rounded lines.

All opinions welcome and certainly if you own an example please do share it with us.

Edit: It would help if I posted the pic

i've only seen a few of these "in the flesh", but

this is one i would buy. JMHO. obviously not official,

but from a long history of cloth iterations of the

    same medal.

    i like it.

Great stuff guys! I am suprised that these cloth badges did not catch on more than they did. I am sure that it was a pain dealing with the metal badges getting caught on things or simply falling off and getting lost.

I would have definately gone with cloth on my field uniform.
